PRODUCTION CHAIN, ECOPHYSOLOGY AND PHYTOCHEMISTRY OF GRAVIOLA (Annona Muricata) AND TAHITI LEMON (Citrus latifolia): A LITERATURE REVIEW
Graviola. Tahiti lemon. Ecophysiolog.
Soursop (Annona muricata) is one of the most important crops of the Anonaceae family as well as the lemon 'Tahiti' (Citrus latifolia) within the genus Citrus in terms of production and cultivated area in Brazil. The interest in these two cultures has increased considerably in the years due to several studies showing the effectiveness of metabolites of these plants against cancer and other diseases caused by oxidative stress. These crops, in addition to being characteristic of small rural properties, where modern technology is not used in many orchards, limiting the potential of cultivation, and are also explored as research developed related to the ecophysiology of these species in the climate of the Amazon region. Therefore, the objective of this study is to carry out a literature review on the Ecophysiology of Annona muricata and Citrus latifolia and thus contribute to the full development of soursop and lemon Tahiti plantations in the Lower Amazon region, specifically in the municipality of Santarém .
