University education; peripheral university; new student; epistemological posture.
The present study aims to investigate how the peripheral university student maintains a relationship with knowledge. it seeks to know the epistemological posture that this student manifests in the act of studying, as well as the material and subjective investments made by him in the training process. The research works with specific concepts developed by the group of supervisors of professor Luiz Percival Leme Britto within the great project entitled “Knowledge and Training at the Peripheral University”. The studies by Castilho and Britto (2009), Britto et. al. (2008), Corrêa (2017), Santana (2019). In these works we find the concepts of “new student”, peripheral HEI, epistemological stance and objective and subjective dispositions, which are key terms for the present study. The research takes as a research subject the student of the Ufopa campus pedagogy course located in the city of Óbidos / PA. In addition to investigating the student as a specific category, we seek to categorize the campus that assists them in accordance with the concept of peripheral university.
