The ongoing study takes as its object the educational processes in floodplain schools in an educational center in the city of Óbidos - PA. Thus, this construction results from the effort to appropriate knowledge from different areas, which seek to understand this unique space that is the floodplain, annually subjected to cyclical changes of flood and ebb that also affect the school environment. The study assumes that, education in the school form is an expression of the historical development of humanity which has become the dominant form of education (SAVIANI, 2013). This transformation, resulting from numerous processes involving a multitude of factors. Therefore, such processes are not only expressed in the reality set in schools, but also by the contradictions present in the capitalist mode of production, which permeate the construction, implementation of educational policies, the financing of education, and, therefore, are not limited to classes or to teachers' practice. In this sense, the problem was defined from the question: What unique aspects can be identified in the floodplain schools belonging to the “Ipaupixuna” pole and if they point to a different configuration of schools typified as countryside schools? In this way, the general objective is: To analyze how schools organize themselves materially and pedagogically in the face of changes resulting from periods of flooding and ebb. As specific objectives: a) Characterize the reality of three schools that make up the pole “Ipaupixuna”, located in the floodplain of the city of Óbidos - PA; b) Identify projects developed within the scope of the Municipal Department of Education for floodplain schools in the period from 2010 to 2019. This is a documentary research of a descriptive nature (TRIVIÑOS, 1987), using primary and secondary sources. The partial results present numerous contradictions, from the way in which school organization is conceived within the scope of the Municipal Department of Education to the reality expressed in the functioning conditions of schools.
