COGNITIONS OF TEACHERS ON SOCIAL SKILLS: A STUDY IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS OF SANTARÉM PARÁ

The interest related to social skills and their influence on interpersonal relationships in the most diverse spheres has fostered research on various themes and contributed to the understanding of social contexts. In the contemporaneousness, the problematization of conflicts in the school environment and of behaviors that impede the process of teaching learning is increasing. To do so, consider the insertion of social skills in education, is of fundamental importance. For this, it is necessary to carry out researches that aim at the delineation of this practice and from the unveiling of the studies, propose the creation of strategies that include teaching practices that complement a better academic performance of the students. The present research has as general objective, to know the cognitions and repertoire of social skills of primary school teachers I. To achieve, the following specific objectives were established: a) to raise the sociodemographic profile of teachers; b) Identify the social skills of teachers; c) Check teachers' cognitions about social skills. The choice for this audience was due to the fact that the teacher occupies a significant place in the teaching-learning process. The data collection instruments will cover a sociodemographic questionnaire, semi-structured interviews script and social skills inventory 2 (IHS-2). The process of analyzing the data obtained in the Sociodemographic Questionnaire will be through descriptive statistics; for the data obtained in the Social Skills Inventory - 2, we intend to calculate the total and factorial scores. For the data obtained through the semi-structured interview script, we intend to use the collective subject discourse technique (DSC).
