ANALYSIS AND UNDERSTANDING OF MEDIA INFORMATION: POST-MODERN DEBATES FOR TEACHER TRAINING

The phenomenon of disinformation is one of the major problems that humanity has been facing in this last period of society, the era of digital technologies is the great driver of this phenomenon, which together with post-truth and post-modernity has been supporting this situation. get worse and worse. Therefore, the present study seeks to investigate the initial training of teachers in environments that aim to develop the analysis and understanding of media information in the face of misinformation, based on D'Ancona (2018), Lyotard (2009) and Castell (1999). The methodological path is made with characteristics of a study of the state of knowledge described by Morosini (2015), being developed a set of indicative materials in order to collaborate with the process of teacher training regarding the relationship of misinformation in post-modern society. This set of activities was applied, in a preliminary way, with 13 undergraduate students of the degree course in educational informatics at the Federal University of West Pará (Ufopa), as a way of analyzing the viability and development of the activities. Questionnaires, field diary and also a conversation wheel were used as an instrument for organizing and processing information. Preliminary results show that the environment of initial teacher training still cannot cover the complexity of the situation in which disinformation is found, however, the study, as the initial analyzes can also understand that education is of vital importance to deal with this process, but which is only one of the pillars of fighting misinformation.
