RESUMO:

This study aims to investigate how Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) can contribute to the principles of integral education with social and environmental responsibility in a full-time high school in the municipality of Santarém-Pa. The implementation of ICTs in state schools in Santarém is preceded by a reflection on a set of factors, such as: perception of Information Technology as a discipline and not as a tool of work in any profession, conveyed by the teaching discourse; lack of teachers with specific training, as well as the necessary continuing education of teachers who are working in basic education in the field of educational technologies; the teaching profile for this activity demands knowledge of two distinct areas (Informatics and Education); infrastructure conditions of IT labs and the challenges in implementing Green IT in these educational spaces; implementation of full-time high school and its particularities. These presuppositions impel us to the inquiry to know in what way the ICTs can constitute as didactic possibilities of teaching and of learning that promote the principles of an integral polytechnic education with socioenvironmental responsibility? And, from this main problem, other questions arise: what is the place of ICTs in the process of human formation at school? Within what perspective, and through what actions, can ICTs contribute to the integral formative process of the human being in this context? What benefits can Green IT bring to the awareness of the school community about the need to reduce the environmental damage caused by human action? The methodology to be used is a qualitative, descriptive approach, using collaborative research-action to enable the reconstruction of the phenomenon investigated. Initially, bibliographical and documentary research was carried out, in addition to the field research, adopting techniques and data collection instruments such as: interview, questionnaire, field diary of the researcher and participants of the research, evaluation sheet of student performance in learning situation and photographic records. The research participants are high school students of a full-time school in Santarém-Pa, teachers of these students, managers and the pedagogical coordinator of that school, as well as trainers of the NTE / Santarém (Technological Educational Center State of Santarém). The results are being analyzed, based on Bardin (2011), from the categories: (1) personal and professional profile; (2) integral and sustainable education: conceptions; (3) knowledge about Green IT, in which the data collected in the research are being confronted, adding knowledge and experiences, hoping to contribute to the critical and contextualized reflection of the proposed object. Partial results are: the perception of educators and managers of the importance of the use of ICTs in teaching and learning processes; the need to develop activities focused on Environmental Education, since there are no training offered by the State Secretariat of Education, focused on the subject matter in question; there is discussion in the school about sustainability, but little is done in practice; the little knowledge about Green IT by teachers. There was also the installation of the collaborative reflective training group (GFRC) at the research school, where debates are taking place on collaborative pedagogical practices; aspects that influence these practices; trainings aimed at the pedagogical use of ICTs, based on the needs of the group, aiming at the critical reading and reflection of the activities carried out, mobilizing knowledge that contributes to the transformation of the teaching attitude and enables praxis with social and environmental responsibility, linking ICTs to training integral part of the student, in a democratic, collaborative and citizen perspective, assuming his responsibility with the planetary sustainability.
