THE INTERIORIZATION OF VIOLENCE: implications for the construction of the identity of adolescents from the community of Suruacá/Resex Tapajós-Arapiuns in Santarém-PA

Adolescence is the phase of human development where the subject is in the process of building their identity, so that the cultural identity of the group they live in is relevantly important in this process, in the same way, the deprivation or limitation of access to fundamental rights can generate negative impacts. Traditional Communities have historically experienced a process of violation of their collective rights, resulting in social and environmental impacts that have been amplified in recent decades. One of the expressions of the social issue in such communities refers to the process of internalization of violence, which in recent years has reached villages and traditional communities in the Amazon, revealing diverse criminal phenomena, which encompass violence in a structural and also cultural sense, such as legitimate way to resolve conflicts. In this way, the research aims to investigate the occurrence of the phenomenon of internalization of violence in the community of Suruacá, located in Resex Tapajós-Arapiuns in Santarém-PA, as well as, it is intended to verify whether the phenomenon implies in the construction of the identity of adolescents who reside in such a community, as it will seek to understand how residents perceive adolescence and violence based on their experiences. This is a qualitative field research, which will have as a data collection technique semi-structured interviews carried out individually and a group approach using the Creative-Sensitive Method (MCS). It will be based on the foundations of Marxist Dialectical Historical Materialism. It is assumed that the internalization of violence is related to precarious access to rights and that this is related to negative impacts on the construction of the adolescent's identity. It is expected to analyze that the phenomenon of internalization of violence reveals itself as an expression of social issues, a product of the lack of access to basic rights.
