RESUMO:

The Federal University of Western Pará (Ufopa) is a scientific education and
research institution located in the north of Brazil, which seeks, through its mission, to
produce and socialize knowledge, contributing to citizenship, innovation and
development in the Amazon. After the foundation of this university, in 2009,
researchers from various areas were attracted to contribute to Ufopa's mission and
making it a reference in the Amazon scenario. Currently, research are being
developed at the Ufopa , generating a large amount of data, knowledge and
information in different formats and platforms, which are inaccessible to the academic
community and society in general, for many reasons. The purpose of this work is to
create a data infrastructure for environmental research, with real time acquisition, to
allow consults, visualization and analysis by researchers in the internet. Real-time
data acquisition strategies will be developed, as an integration of micro
meteorological stations; the creation of infrastructure for data storage, monitoring,
queries, backup, dissemination with the use of open formats; development and
integration of web tools to improve data quality, organizing information with metadata,
data cleaning; development of information visualization tools, making its available in
maps and graphs; validation of the prototype of the web service by the researchers in
order to propose their use and hosting in the Ufopa Data Center for the external
community. At the end of this work, it is intend to contribute to the improvement of the
integration of research data, to facilitate and encourage the reuse of resources, the
treatment of the data collected in the stations by providing it in an open format, to
assist the researchers in the monitoring of the meteorological stations, to facilitate the
search of research information through the Internet, thus allowing further research or
decision-making at the societal level, such as central monitoring, agriculture, climate,
among others.
