Ecological knowledge; Non-timber forest products; Intergenerational transmission; Bioecological approach.
This study aims to analyze the process of intergenerational transmission of traditional ecological knowledge about the use of sociobiodiversity products in food consumption of families living in Resex Tapajós-Arapiuns. The research will be carried out in the community of Suruacá, located at Resex Tapajós-Arapiuns and will adopt two methodological lines, including the bioecological approach, based on the qualitative methodology of ecological insertion in the community, and, subsequently, an investigative approach to the local reality, with the aid of quantitative instruments. Among the methods to be adopted are cross-sectional walking, preparation of the seasonal calendar for extraction / collection of non-timber forest products, interviews, questionnaires, photographic records and use of the field diary. A key informant will be selected to gather preliminary information about their empirical knowledge of sociobiodiversity products and the process of intergenerational transmission of knowledge about these products in everyday food. Subsequently, the procedure for selecting participants will be performed by simple random probability sampling, with a sample universe that represents 10% of the families. Data will be organized in Excel 2010 spreadsheets for further processing in Program R (R Core Team, 2017) for statistical analysis. It is expected to identify in the community food products from the forest other than those included in the list of sociobiodiversity products, and that over the generations there has been a transmission of traditional knowledge about these products.
