The trampling of wildlife has been a serious threat to biodiversity. The increase of the road network in recent decades, including in the Amazon region, fragmenting large areas of this biome and intensifying the flow of vehicles, has caused serious impacts on biodiversity. The ease of human access through roads produces landscape changes along its axis, which can interfere with the behavior and displacement of wild animals, leaving them more vulnerable to roadkills as they cross the road. In Brazil, most of the research already conducted focuses on regions outside the Amazon, and in general has focused more on animal biology and ecology, neglecting the influence that landscape patterns have on these events. Thus, this study aims to relate the composition of the landscape around BR 163, along a 100 km stretch bordering the Tapajos Flona, with the index of running over wildlife over a seasonal cycle. For this, a monitoring is being made along this highway, between km 40 and 140, in the municipality of Belterra. Samples are taken, on average, every 15 days and started in July 2019 and run until June 2020. The stretch is traveled in a vehicle at a maximum speed of 40 km/h, starting around 7am, so alternated between the two ends of the study area, that is, with monitoring starting at km 40 and ending at 140 and the next in reverse, and so on. For spatial analysis, data must be obtained from satellite images of the Landsat 8 series, from which the classification of landscape patterns will be made. In the first 12 samples, 109 animals were found, with 37,61% represented by Mammals, 29,36% by Birds, 17,43% Amphibians and 15,60% by Reptiles.
