RESUMO:

The Amazonian diversity, is results of a balanced relationship of biotic and abiotic factors, therefore, any change in the climate can cause changes in the life of the changes. In the Amazon there are natural areas with characteristics similar to the cerrados and the increase of these areas by the action of man would be leading the place to a process of savanization and resulting in changes in the climate. In this context, the present work seeks to characterize the components of the radiation and energy balance in the Savannah areas in the Amazon. The study site will be an Amazonian Savannah area, in Santarém, Pará. Using multispectral image data from the sensor Thematic Mapper (TM), aboard the series satellite Landsat, obtained for free on the website LPDAAC/USGS (https://lpdaac.usgs.gov/). After image processing, the algorithm will be applied Surface Energy Balance Algorithm for Land (SEBAL), the same, through computational routines, provides the radiation and energy balance components. With these results, validation will be performed with data measured in the micrometeorological tower installed in the studied area, evaluating the agreement of the observation data by the tower and products modeled by the SEBAL, absolute error and relative error will be calculated. This study is expected to confirm, results of greater short-wave reflection (Albedo) in the Savannah area, higher emission of infrared radiation from the surface to the atmosphere, thus higher heat emissions to the atmosphere and, therefore, reduction in the balance of radiation and existence of an arid condition in this area of Savanna with a preponderance of the sensitive heat flow and the soil in relation to the latent heat flux. Still due to the reduction of vegetation cover, the significant impact reducing values in the evapotranspiration rates, the ecosystem change can have direct impacts on populations, the extinction and / or adaptation of new species can lead to an imbalance, showing how Savana interferes with biogeochemical processes, in soil and air quality.
