RESUMO:

In the last decades, the world’s products consumption has increased significantly, consequently industrialization is driven to supply such demand, generating environmental impacts, on the other hand, society's awareness of the unrestrained consumption of natural resources from non-renewable sources has been changing the style of current consumption making it necessary to create sustainable alternatives for different products, in this context, residential thermal blankets, an optional item in roof structures whose use has been growing exponentially as a result of global warming, do not have an ecologically sustainable alternative for large-scale production and the vegetable loofah (Luffa cylindrica), in turn, is a well-known natural fiber with great possibility of use and great production in the Amazon region. Therefore, this work aims the experimentation of the vegetable bush as a thermal blanket from the production and testing of prototypes of different layers, in addition to the comparison of the prototype blanket with the blankets currently commercialized through the use of test cells to be produced, the experimentation will take place in the 8th Engineering and Construction Battalion due to the availability of a meteorological station to assist the collection of local climatic data and in the month of July, owing to to the presence of high solar incidence.
