ÁREA: Ciências Ambientais
RESUMO:

According to the Köopen classification, the climate of the region is AWI type, tropical rainy with winter drought, with a strong dry season coinciding with winter, presents high total values of annual precipitation and monthly temperature. Perennial agricultural crops native and non-native (citrus), both are a challenge to be cultivated in the Amazon. The perennial plants selected for the study are: Cumaru (Dipteryx odorata), Brazil nuts (Bertholletia excelsa H.B.K.), citrus species such as the Serra d'Água (Citrus aurantium) and Pêra (Citrus sinensis). Having as General objectives: To analyze how the productivity of perennial species with high productive potential in the Amazon Cumaru (Dipteryx odorata), the Brazil nut (Bertholletia excelsa HBK) and citrus species such as the orange mountain water (Citrus aurantium) and Laranja Pêra (Citrus sinensis), respond to seasonal variations in water availability. Thus, the objective of this work will be to test the hypothesis (H1) that there are significant effects on the sensitivity to water stress in the dry and rainy periods, and in photosynthesis a reduction or increase in the assimilation of CO2 in the hours of lesser and greater solar radiation in the studied species that influence productivity. For specific objectives: Identify and characterize the rates of photosynthesis, transpiration, stomatal conductance, leaf temperature and water use efficiency in leaf tissues of certain forest and agricultural perennial species; analyze carbon allocation strategies within the plant (source dynamics and C drain); observe the effect of seasonal water stress on carbon assimilation; analyze the effects of environmental determinants on gas exchange. The work data can be used in decision-making in the agricultural management of these species in the Amazon, because from the knowledge of the physiology of the plant, one can understand the productive aspects of native and non-native species. This is expected to produce important data and statistics for the advancement of the management of agricultural and forest species in rural areas of the region.
