RESUMO:

Micrometeorological towers are an obstacle to the flow of air passing through the place where they are fixed. On the face of the tower opposite to wind direction, there is the formation of a shadowing region. In this region, increases in wind speed of 6% on the sides due to the conservation of mass, were observed in triangular towers. furthermore, the winds are attenuated in the shadowing region of the tower. Wind speed can drop by 50% for light winds and 25% for winds from 4ms-1 to 6ms-1 over an area of 4 m2. Wind tunnel studies have shown that the distance from the flow separation, after the obstacle, is proportional to the size of the obstacle, influencing anemometers mounted perpendicular to the tower. The decrease in wind speed reaches 40% at 3.6 meters from thetower. To avoid this physical effect, most researchersdiscard data from the shading region. However, how much loss are associated with discarding a measure to the detriment of the tower's structure? How to differentiate the influence of the tower structure from the influences of gravitational waves or the shading of the transducers of the sonic anemometer? To this end, data from two 80-meter towers instrumented with sonic anemometers along its length will be used, used in the ATTO-CLAIRE (Cooperative LBA Airborne Regional Experiment) / IOP-1-2012 experiment in February 2012. The format geometric cross-section of the towers is triangular and rectangular respectively. Spectral analysis will be used to identify the shading effect on the two towers and to quantify total loss on both apparatus.
