SUMMARY:

This doctoral study aims to analyze the presence of medical ecology in the training of medical graduates from UEPA (2020) and their challenges in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic scenario. Specifically, the intention is to map the place(s) of work and the working conditions of these graduates who graduated early due to the Covid-19 pandemic; trace your academic and professional profile considering the immersion in the experienced reality; diagnose the principles of medical ecology in the training of graduates from medical courses on the UEPA campuses of Belém, Marabá and Santarém; to analyze whether the GIESC module brought an ME approach and contributed to a more humanized formation of these graduates from the perception of graduates, teachers and coordinators of the studied courses; identify and analyze the challenges listed in medical training, based on the perception of graduates, professors and coordinators of the courses studied and propose a model of humanized medical ecology in medical training, based on the reality studied. The participants of this multiple case study, with a quantitative and qualitative approach, with the contribution of transdisciplinarity and time frame in the year 2020-2022, composed of 03 coordinators, 18 professors (acting in the Internship) and 79 graduates of the medical course who had the early graduation from a Public University in the State of Pará. It presents a transdisciplinary approach, documentary analysis, field study and will be presented according to the Scandinavian model. In the production of empirical data, semi-structured interviews with 03 coordinators and 18 professors and an online questionnaire (survey research) with 79 graduates of these courses will be applied, totaling a sample of 100 participants. This research was approved by the Research Ethics Committee (CEP) of the Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará, with opinion CAAE Nº 59401922.9.0000.0171, and the collected data will be treated through the content analysis of Bardin (2011) and the technique of the triangulation described by Denzin (2005), also resorting to statistical packages and word cloud through the NVivo software. From the insertion in the field, it is conjectured to find sustainable development actions in the context of medical ecology, through the challenges of medical training, in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic in these Medicine courses, with the insertion of graduates into professional life. As a result, the application of a transdisciplinary approach is expected as a research strategy, enhancing a triangulated analysis of the data revealed, which concerns the deepening of the subject matter of study - medical ecology in medical training in the midst of the pandemic, contributing to the adoption of practices more humane innovations. It is worth mentioning that the object of study presented has been proving to be innovative, after researching the state of knowledge in the databases Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of Capes (2021), Portal de Periódicos of CAPES/MEC (2021) and Scientifc Electronic Library Online – SciELO (2021). This fact motivates us to seek to study it with the indispensable firmness and the value that it has been announcing for the expansion of scientific knowledge, with a humanized service, sustaining Environmental Education (EE).
