SUMMARY:

Cerebral palsy describes a group of permanent disorders of motor development and posture, causing limitation of activity, which are attributed to non-progressive disorders that occurred in the maturing fetal or infant brain. Thus, the Therapies and Assisted Activities with equines (TAAE) emerge as a therapeutic method that uses the horse within an interdisciplinary approach seeking the biopsychosocial development of people with disabilities and/or special needs. The objective of this study is to understand the effects that TAAE have on individuals with Cerebral Palsy in the interior of the Amazon. This is an observational, cross-sectional and retrospective study that will consist of the application of questionnaires and analysis of medical records of these individuals, both those in attendance and those already attended. Therefore, this research is expected to improve the children's daily activities, gains in cognitive and motor aspects, improvement of self-care and mobility of individuals from the data obtained with the validated questionnaires and the perception of caregivers and professionals
