EPIDEMIOLOGY OF POPULATIONS EXPOSED TO PESTICIDES IN THREE MESOREREGIONS IN THE STATE OF PARÁ: 
METROPOLITAN AREA OF BELÉM, NORTHEAST OF PARA AND SOUTHEAST OF PARA

Pesticides represent a major risk to public health, especially those domiciled in rural and peri-urban areas of the State of Pará. The objective of this study is to describe the spatio-temporal epidemiological evolution of populations exposed to pesticides in three mesoregions of the state of Pará between 2000 and 2023. Therefore, we intend to quantify the temporal evolution, as well as to relate it to social and public health indicators contained in the exogenous poisoning records adopted by the Health Department of the State of Pará and in the DATASUS system, in order to better understand the factors and risks associated with the health of exposed populations. Such indicators are: age groups; schooling; sex; race; occupation; pesticide use group; type of exposure; route of exposure; time elapsed between exposure and care; exhibition site; geographical position of the exhibition; diagnosis; number of confirmed poisonings; number of adverse reactions; Evolution of the case and year of notification.  The present study will cover the records of exogenous pesticide poisoning over a period of twenty years, i.e., from 2002 to 2023, in mesoregions of the State of Pará, namely the metropolitan mesoregion of Belém, the mesoregion of the northeast of Pará and the mesoregion of the southeast of Pará. These three mesoregions total 54 municipalities. The data of this study will be taken from the database of SINAN and the State Health Department of Pará – SESPA.   SINAN (Notifiable Diseases Information System), made available by the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS). The data will initially be submitted to an exploratory statistical analysis and will later be treated through descriptive analysis to evaluate the temporal evolution and multivariate analysis to assess the spatiality of exposure in relation to social and public health indicators.
