SUMMARY:

Water is the primary natural resource for the life of every living being. Given this premise, there is concern about the risk of availability of this resource in a condition for consumption, mainly for human consumption, especially given the constant exposure to contaminants, which affects the quality of the water. Bioremediation with microorganisms has been one of the options to solve the problem of contaminants. This highlights the importance of bioprospecting for microorganisms associated with plants typical of natural environments that degrade contaminants. It is known that endophytic bacteria have numerous enzymatic capabilities, making them a viable and sustainable alternative to assist in remediation. The objective of this research is to identify and prospect cultivable endophytic microorganisms from macrophytes (Eichhornia crasipes (Mart) Solms.) with hydrocarbon bioremediation capacity and agricultural defenders in the port area of different rivers in the western region of Pará. The macrophytes were collected in the port area of the Tapajós rivers (shore Santarém), Amazon River (Lake Maicá), Trombetas River (Oriximiná), Cuminã River (Oriximiná) and Gurupatuba River (Monte Alegre). The isolates were obtained from fragments of parts of the macrophytes inoculated on Plate Count Agar (PCA) medium, isolation and biochemical and molecular identification by sequencing of the 16S gene, of the strains that showed degrading potential for the substances tested. The degradation tests will be followed by the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) test of hydrocarbons and agricultural pesticides in Minimum medium in salts for bacteria-M9 supplemented with different concentrations of the substances. To date, 39 strains of E. crassipes have been isolated and of these, 18 belong to the genus Bacillus, being from Monte Alegre (9/18), Oriximiná (7/18) and Corynebacterium (2/18) from Monte Alegre.
