SUMMARY:

The estimation of seasonal and interannual variations in energy partition, climate variables and biophysical controls is extremely important for understanding the ecofunctional mechanisms of terrestrial biomes. In this study, energy fluxes, evapotranspiration rates and other biophysical variables (surface conductance, aerodynamic conductance, decoupling coefficient, evaporative fraction, Priestley-Taylor coefficient) are analyzed in an integral manner using turbulent eddy covariance data. Seasonal and interannual variations in ET were not fully controlled by available energy, but also by soil water content (SWC) in the floodplain environment, where throughout the year, latent heat flux (LE) was the dominant component of the energy balance, decreasing sharply at the end of the dry season, where sensible heat (H ) was higher, evidencing a savannah pattern. Historic droughts in the Amazon (2005/2010) impacted air temperatures and energy flows. The albedo presented higher values, according to literature on similar ecosystems. The daily Priestley-Taylor coefficient (ET/ETeq, where ETeq is the equilibrium evaporation) decreased sharply when the SWC fell below 0.30 m-3 m-3 at the end of the dry season. ET/ETeq increased non-linearly with increasing Gs, but was insensitive to increases in Gs greater than 15 mm s-1 in the dry season, 24 mm s-1 in the rainy season and 26 mm s-1 in the rainy season. full. LAI values, high PAR values and high NDVI values suggest that leaf senescence begins before the dry season, initiated by flooding at the site. Principal component analysis revealed greater dependence of ET on SWC in the dry season and high dependence on radiative forcing in the rainy season and flooded period. The standards defined for the floodable cerrado area were completed, lacking the application of calculations for the Amazon, Caatinga and Pantanal sites.
