RESUMO:

The research addresses the insertion of the use of Digital Technologies (TD)
articulated to the assumptions of Mathematical Modeling (MM) in teaching. It
has as a vector principle the pedagogical mobilization of knowledge by the
teacher, in relation to teaching mechanisms, which can be operated in the
classroom. It aims to investigate possible relationships of the MM with the TD in
school education, to subsidize the teaching processes in the 5th year of
elementary school. The specific objectives are related to the development of
means for the use of TD with mathematics for school activities, via MM and
technology-based teaching strategies. The guiding question establishes the
following research parameter: "How to relate the MM with the TD, in view of the
teaching of mathematical concepts?". In order to answer and reach the
objectives, the methodology was based on a systematic study of theoretical
references such as: Bassanezi (2011), Biembengut e Hein (2016), Valente
(1998), Borba, Silva e Gadanidis (2016), Mazzoti (1998) and others. Survey of
literature related to the topic, aggregating the researches of Menezes (2016),
Schütz (2015), Furtado (2014), Mastrela (2014), Borssoi (2013), Ferreira
(2013), Diniz (2007), Barbosa (2001). In addition to tools and auxiliary
techniques for collecting additional information on the formation of focus groups,
participant observation and interviews. This research was based on the
organization and dimensioning of teaching experiments, in which the activities
were dimensioned from a configuration of educational scenarios and were
directed to the production of thematic models with two themes: I - Mathematics
and civil construction (construction of plants lows and models) and II -
Mathematics and art (Construction of artistic elements), from TD available in the
school as: geogebra, phet, kahoot and elements of MM in education, through
the application of an intervention project for 36 students of the 5th year in a
municipal school in the city of Santarém - PA. These digital resources aided the
process of teaching mathematics, projecting possibilities of teaching
mathematical concepts through an educational research line (STEFFE;
THOMPSON, 2000). The results project considerations on: dialogical referrals
provided by the teacher, when starting the activities development, provides an
initial interest factor on the proposed and planned situations. From the
technological point of view, there was a significant degree of interest when the
students made the first manipulations and development of thematic projects. At
each stage of these activities, mathematics emerged and systematized in an
articulated way with other subjects or knowledge. It was possible to develop an
interdisciplinary work, characterizing elements of discussion in order to validate
the implementation of new methodologies for teaching mathematics. based on
the relationships between MM and TD, aiming at the learning of concepts and
mathematical representations.
