RESUMO:
After the 1990s, the process of inclusion of students with disabilities in regular education intensified in Brazilian education. It is understood that the inclusion movement is not restricted to the inclusion of students with disabilities in mainstream schools, but also aims to create the necessary conditions and strategies for all students to have access and remain in basic education. The inclusion of people with special needs in school requires changes in teaching conditions, these changes are mainly the responsibility of teachers who should seek teaching and learning methods where our children with disabilities feel safe and are active participants in the education system without being or feeling yourself deleted. It is essential that the teacher within the school context build methodologies that enable social interaction among all, seeking to include students with disabilities. The teaching of social skills, whether in or outside the school context, can be learned in social relationships and is essential for the development and formation of the human being. Thus, the present research project entitled, What Do Teachers of Students with Disabilities in Regular Education Think About Social Skills? It will be developed at the Fluminense Elementary School of the city of Santarém-Pa, which includes students with disabilities included, in order to understand the cognitions of elementary school teachers who work in regular classes with disabled students about Social Skills. . Specifically, the objective is: I-To raise the sociodemographic data of the teachers, II- To identify the Social Skills that the teachers consider important to be developed in the students with disabilities, III- To understand the teacher's cognitions about the role of the teacher in the development of Social skills of students with disabilities. The research is characterized as qualitative, field, exploratory and descriptive. The instruments for data collection will be: sociodemographic questionnaire and a guide for focus group session. The data will be analyzed using the IRAMUTEQ software developed by Pierre Ratinaud 2012. The theoretical foundation is based on studies on people with disabilities, teacher cognition and social skills.
