The aim of this research is to (re) build the history of the institutionalization of indigenous school education of the Awaete Parakanã people and from it to unveil and reflect the dilemmas and challenges faced during this process, as well as the solutions presented. The historical, cultural, pedagogical and legal aspects that guide the Indigenous People's School Education will be analyzed, as well as the challenges faced by the technical team of the SEMEDs- Municipal Departments of Education of the Municipality of Novo Repartimento and Itupiranga, as well as by non-indigenous teachers. who work in the village schools. Indigenous school education has historically been associated with the imposition, domestication and denial of the identity of the indigenous peoples of Brazil. However, with changes in the scope of educational legislation and the new legal reorientations that underlie affirmative policies today, indigenous people gain voice and express the desire to play a leading role in the education of their peoples. At the heart of this discourse is born the problem of this research from the process of institutionalization of the Indigenous School Education of the Awaete Parakanã people in the municipalities of Novo Repartimento and Itupiranga from the year 2013. Therefore, this work will be structured from a research of qualitative approach field. In this construct, documentary analysis will be performed to verify the legal aspects of indigenous school education, available in laws, opinions and resolutions at federal, state and municipal levels, (such as minutes of meetings, selection process notices, rules of the Municipal Council of Education, among others in both municipalities). To understand the structural and pedagogical aspects and the construction of the profile of the professionals of the Municipal Departments of Education - SEMEDs, focusing on the Coordination of Indigenous school education will use a socio demographic questionnaire. The participants will be: 23 teachers, 02 pedagogical coordinators, 02 indigenous supervisors and 01 municipal secretary of education that make up the SEMEDs technical team, whose performance covers 18 schools, located in 18 villages belonging to the municipalities of Novo Repartimento and Itupiranga. To characterize the schools will be made in locus visits and to understand the dilemmas and challenges faced by the team will use an interview script that will be conducted in focus group, dividing the participants into 04 groups. . The theoretical framework of this research is based on studies by authors that deal with the theme in a generic way such as Grupione (1995), Marfan (2002), Fontan (2017), Barroso Holffmann & Lima (2007), Rodrigues (2016) as well as others. authors who bring contributions from specific studies of Parakanã indigenous peoples, such as Fausto (2001), Magalhaes (1982) and Emídio-Silva (2017). It is hoped that this research can go beyond the theoretical discourses and the legal apparatuses that deal with indigenous school education, raising propositions about the construction of their own curriculum framework, the construction of the Awaete schools' Pedagogical Political Projects emphasizing bilingual education, indigenous teacher education. and non-indigenous and its own evaluation system, highlighting the specific, differentiated and intercultural within the scope of the Coordinating of Indigenous School Education of the Municipal Departments of Education of the Municipalities of Novo Repartimento and Itupiranga in the State of Pará.
