RESUMO:

This work deals with the use of Educational Robotics, through the process of initial formation of teachers of Degree in Educational Informatics (LIE) of the Federal University of the West of Pará - UFOPA. Seeing from the perspective of how the student in the initial formation of two LIE classes sees and perceives in Educational Robotics and its use as an alternative and dynamism in the various areas of knowledge and how this ICT (Information and Communication Technology) can be used in improvement in teaching and learning processes. It seeks to answer how students in initial training perceive the use of Educational Robotics and its importance in the teaching and learning processes, involving content and knowledge of the curriculum component Basic Prototyping and Educational Robotics, based on the preparation and discussion involving the use activities performed during classes. Because it is a technology that has great potential and has been explored through various research in the field of education, it can be noted that through it, along the issues seen in the development of this investigation, several possibilities of use will be noted for its application. The methodology used was based on a qualitative approach, and the methodological procedures were traced from the development of a bibliographic research that first verifies the works related to the theme, where correlated studies in Educational Robotics were raised through the research base - among the years from 2016 to 2019. The theoretical foundation involved studies based on elements of Constructivism, Constructionism, Historical Cultural Theory and Computational Thinking. The second stage of the methodology was based on exploratory research, which provided the researcher with familiarization as the object of study to be used within the teaching experiment. From then on, the activities and the observation process developed and the data collection instruments were applied. The results from the investigations carried out show that for there to be a good perception in relation to robotics in the initial training of the teacher in technology, this training must awaken in the future teacher an understanding in relation to certain technology, which in this work was provided through the experiments initials carried out. When analyzing objectively, future technology teachers believe that robotics for pedagogical use can be a strategy that arouses greater student engagement when applied to subjects that are part of the curriculum of basic education.
