RESUMO:

The present research, oriented in the scope of the Historical-Cultural Theory, analyzes the perceptions related to the reading-writing of a teacher of the preschool in the municipal public network of Santarém-PA. The theoretical and structural factors that underpin the proposals designed for children, the desires and the difficulties related to these activities, as well as the attunements and distances with academic consensus on the subject, stand out. In this way, we seek to answer what a teacher from a peripheral public school says about what work with reading-writing is in preschool. It was characterized as a case study, tracing a path that begins in life experiences for the collective structures that formed the teacher's perceptions and how she has been practicing reading-writing in the activity room, from the details and evidence of a case will be developed analysis on reading-writing in the historical-cultural perspective. Therefore, Vigotski and collaborators have as conceptual study. The production of the data took place through non-participant observation and recurrent interviews, the records were made in a field diary, filming and photographs, later analyzed with the support of the indicative paradigm. As it is a recurring theme in research in the field of Education, the results are intended to bring up a set of reflections on the functions that reading-writing has been assuming in the context of preschool and what keeps the practice found, how to encourage the discussion of practices based on their social use by children. In this sense, the present study may contribute to correlated research about reading-writing in preschool educations.
