SUMMARY:

The present study in progress has as its theme writing in early childhood education: analysis of audiovisual materials published on social media. The main objective of this research is to identify and analyze the statements published on Youtube that address writing in early childhood education. Through this objective, specifically, it is intended to: identify the target audience of the posted videos and reflect on possible understandings in relation to writing from the statements. In order to contextualize the problem of this research and to expand the understanding of writing in early childhood education, a bibliographic survey was carried out in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD) and in some repositories of postgraduate programs at public universities, in which it is possible to consult works already defended. The theoretical assumptions of the study are based on Vigotski (1931, 1995/2000, 2021); Leontiev (2018), Luria (2018); Mukhina (1995); Mello (1999, 2005, 2007,2010, 2012, 2015, 2021) that bring discussions about the development of preschool children in relation to the acquisition of writing. Through empirical research carried out on the Youtube platform, 78 videos were found, but only 56 videos corresponded to the theme. During the methodological course, the videos were enumerated and detailed with: video title, channel, electronic address (URL), presenter, number of subscribers, publication date, number of views and likes, duration of the videos and a brief description (contained on the video page itself). The ongoing research points to results about ten analyzed videos. Through this analysis, it was found that videos with short viewing are the most accessed, these videos do not present any scientific data on the topic presented by their presenters, they treat the acquisition of writing as something motor, not recognizing the child as an autonomous subject . In view of the brief analysis, we can conclude that writing in early childhood education is one more replication of “pedagogical proposals” from one channel to another. Unfortunately, such activities end up reinforcing the idea that anyone can teach the child to draw letters and form words and this is worrying especially for the educational field, which in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic has been gaining new supporters in relation to school education. at home– Homeschooling. In view of this, an understanding of writing is necessary, beyond its mechanical aspects, as a complex cultural element, being a fundamental instrument for human development.
