SUMMARY:

This research, entitled “Perceiving teaching practice: a study involving Educational Social Skills and Cognitive Behavioral Theory”, aims to verify whether there is a relationship between teachers' behavioral repertoires and their perceptions of CBT strategies in teaching practice. Therefore, we sought to find out which strategies of the Cognitive-Behavioral Theory are used in teaching practice, what is the understanding of teachers about these strategies and what are their social skills in handling in the classroom. Data were collected using a socio-demographic questionnaire, an inventory of educational social skills and an interview script about teachers' perceptions based on practices based on Cognitive-Behavioral Theory strategies. This research is expected to produce theoretical inputs so that instruments and methods are developed in the field of social skills and teaching practices.
