READING OF TALES OF THE BRAZILIAN LITERATURE OF AMAZON EXPRESSION: FRUITY, KNOWLEDGE AND CULTURAL VALORIZATION
Brazilian Literature of Amazonian Expression; literary reading; Amazonian tales; writers from Pará; Amazon culture
The present research was born from the restlessness of the teacher-researcher when she noticed the absence of reading activities with texts of Brazilian Literature of Amazonian Expression in the fundamental major (6th to 9th year). And, especially, how these texts would be worked out so that the students improved their performance as readers. In addition, it will be possible to verify how the reading of these texts could contribute to the acquisition of knowledge and appreciation of their culture. As intervention activities in the classroom, a reading project composed of nine workshops was developed, focused on the reading of Amazonian Literature, to be applied in a 9th grade class, in the city of Monte Alegre. Thus, this qualitative research participant aims to stimulate reading in elementary school students, using for this purpose literary texts of three writers from Paraense highlighting the elements of the Amazonian culture, thus promoting greater identity of the students with the texts read. For this, this study was based on the assumptions of some theorists of the subject, such as Antunes, Abreu, Britto, Candido, Cosson and Colomer, and in researches already carried out under the Profletras / Ufopa / UFPA Masters on the subject.
