SUMMARY:

In parallel with the production of this work, the world is undergoing a challenging transformation. The pandemic caused by the disease popularly known as Covid-19 has directly and indirectly affected the whole of society. In this sense, this research has the general objective of analyzing the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on family relationships in the Comarca de Santarém/PA in the light of the theory of Human Rights and the civil institute of Parental Alienation committed by one of the parents on the other. . In order to achieve these objectives, the following specific objectives were established: 1. Identify the theoretical and practical connections/implications of the theory of Human Rights with Family Law and, specifically, with the civil institute of Parental Alienation; 2. Analyze the dynamics of family relationships from the perspective of human rights and from the rights and guarantee of the human dignity of the child; 3. Check the direct and indirect impacts caused by the public health crisis of international emergency caused by the Covid-19 pandemic on family relationships; 4. Investigate whether in the District of Santarém/PA, as of March 2020, there was an increase in cases of parental alienation and, if so, what are the likely reasons; 5. Based on the theory of human rights and constitutional family law, present the mechanisms and instruments available to deal with cases of parental alienation in the context of a pandemic. The work will be developed in the city of Santarém. In the first phase, the method of bibliographic and documentary research will be implemented, through a bibliographic survey on the subject, reading books, periodicals, articles and internet sites. In the second phase, quantitative data will be collected, made available by the local state court and other bodies, on registered cases of parental alienation. With the information acquired, the execution of the third phase will begin, in which the analysis and discussion of the data obtained will be carried out. With this, it is expected to discover possible impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on parental alienation practices within the District of Santarém / PA and how they can be avoided or fought; contribute to the recognition of parental alienation as something of extreme seriousness in the universe of family relationships; to be, in some way, useful for families that may go through situations that involve parental alienation; to make observations that may be useful to deal with other possible and subsequent pandemic contexts; and serve as a basis for future studies within this theme.
