The demarcation of the Munduruku-Takuara indigenous land: the struggle for survival of an original people amidst the rubble of progress.
Indigenous land, demarcation, citizenship, human dignity, progress.
The work aims to analyze the convenient delay of the State regarding the administrative procedure of demarcation of indigenous land in Brazil, taking as an example the case of Munduruku-Takuara land in Santarém, in the State of Pará. The discussion will not only take place at the administrative level, with regard to access to justice in a reasonable time (with respect to due process of law), but will also take place as a function of analyzing the concrete case as a hypothesis of the need to implement citizenship values and dignity of indigenous populations, vulnerable to advances in progress.
