This dissertation presents an ethnographic research to understand the processes of transmission of intra-family generational knowledge, theidentity recognition of people who make "redes de dormir" in the city of São Bento. Thus, this study can contributewith relevant discussions for addressing the themes of identity, memory and transmission of knowledge as a process that establishes social relationships based on the production of the "redes de dormir" in São Bento.
