MEANINGS OF COUNTRYSIDE EDUCATION IN AN AMAZONIAN SCHOOL: a study in a rural/riverine community

Cultural knowledge is significantly inserted in the daily life of traditional peoples, and countryside education has the proposal to value this knowledge in the educational scope. The ongoing research focuses on the Curicaca community, rural/riverine community located in the municipality of Alenquer-Pará. As a community inserted in the Amazonian geographic context, knowledge is inserted in the daily life of local residents. In this context, in addition to understanding the cultural knowledge existing in the community, this research has the general objective of analyzing how community members and the school public perceive the possibility of a countryside education in their context. This research has a qualitative approach on ethnography and empirical data, using interviews semi-structured and reports as data collection instruments. We hope to trigger new perceptions and contributions aimed at thematic cultural knowledge, rural communities and countryside education.
