RESUMO:

Playing is a universal trait that varies with each culture. The child, when playing freely, explores everything around him, reasons, makes discoveries, persists, learns and expresses (feelings, ideas, fantasies, relating the real and the imaginary). Playing is the best way for children to express themselves, to live creatively in the world and to enjoy themselves. Therefore, investigating child behaviors such as play and its relationship with development and subjective well-being in specific contexts is a promising field of research due to the influence of environmental and sociocultural variables. The general objective of this paper is to analyze the contributions of play to motor development and subjective child welfare in a remnant quilombo community in the city of Santarém-PA. The specific objectives are: To observe the activities performed by children, considered playful in their perspective, to analyze and evaluate playing in different environments of daily life, to describe the movements of play, in an evaluative and analytical way, to investigate the subjective well-being of children, to investigate the infantile motor development, to describe the activities of the play and their respective motors movements and to relate with the descriptors of the motor performance analysis tool and those related to the subjective child welfare. To achieve the objectives, different instruments, techniques and data analysis will be used. To characterize the play the children will be observed in the field through filming and photos ; In addition, instruments will be used to assess children's subjective well-being with the adapted semi-structured interview by Giacomoni (2002) and the adapted Community Feeling Index (SCI) by Elvas (2009). For motor performance evaluation, the Rosa Neto Motor Development Scale (2002) will be used. The data from the drawings will be quantified. The interview data will be analyzed using the Collective Subject Discourse (CSD) technique. Other data regarding the subjective child welfare and motor development instruments will be analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The work in question will contribute to the scientific and academic community by surveying the reality of quilombola children, in a positive aspect, showing the importance of playing for child development in the most diverse environments, because this is how the child establishes the relationship with children. the world and with people through play and ensures their formation and their quality of social, moral, psychological and cultural life.
