RESUMO:

The objective of this research is to analyze the condition of food and nutritional security of family farmers, 

through the identification of food intake and nutritional status of these women. The survey will be conducted 

with women associated with the Association of Small Rural Producers, Extractors and Artisanal Fishermen residing 

in nine rural communities in the municipality of Alenquer, state of Pará. Semi-structured interviews will be 

conducted, applying the form of food and nutrition markers and the Scale. Brazilian Food Insecurity Group, 

also the collection of anthropometric data: weight, height and waist circumference (abdominal) to assess the 

nutritional status of women. This study aims to identify the level of food security or insecurity, based on the 

perceptions of women, understanding their daily lives, inquiring about their eating habits and consumption, 

as well as their health and nutrition conditions and other aspects of access to policies. food and nutrition security 

It is also expected to present data for municipal management, in order to implement or even consolidate existing 

policies that allow guaranteeing rights to these women and their families, especially in food and nutrition security.
