RESUMO:

Mental health is an integral and inseparable part of an individual's general health status and can be understood as a condition of well-being. Quality of life, in turn, reflects the perception of individuals about their position in life in the socio-cultural context in relation to their life aspirations. The rural zone has historically been marked by social inequities, access to health services and public policies, which are considered negative conditions for the constructs to be evaluated, in addition to gender inequalities. In this sense, from an interdisciplinary perspective, it is proposed to answer the following question: What is the general state of mental health and BES of rural women in the community of São Domingos and their relationship with public policies materialized in the community? Thus, assessing the mental health and quality of life of women in a community in the Tapajós National Forest and the influence of public policies on such constructs, in the perception of these women, is the general scope of the investigation. For this, an explanatory field research will be carried out, using mixed methods, with an investigation strategy and data analysis that will follow the precepts of the concomitant triangulation. The desire is for the results obtained to support the development of public strategies and policies with the potential to promote and / or maintain the mental health and quality of life of the women investigated.
