RESUMO:

The current environmental situation is worrisome, not only because of the lack of environmental awareness of much of human society, but also because of the lack of necessary information of the correct care for nature. Therefore, environmental education in daily school life can play an important role in changing the behavior of the human being, since environmental problems arise due to the form of various erroneous attitudes, which men (regardless of sex) have fought with the resources that nature makes available for their survival, caused in this way imbalance in Planet Earth, a dwelling place of humanity. The present work entitled: The praxis of Environmental Education: the case of high school in the municipality of Belterra - Pará, has as general objective to identify the praxis teachers in environmental education in the school environment, since this education is a requirement of Article 225, § 1 paragraph IV, the current Brazilian Magna Carta, and in the form of law 9795/99, which directs the National Environmental Education Policy. It is known that environmental education according to the Brazilian laws that ensure the praxis of Environmental Education need to be addressed daily and in an interdisciplinary way by teachers at all levels of education, and thus contribute significantly to the construction of the sensitivity and environmental awareness of students. Thus, the research proposal will be based on the theoretical basis and data collected through the questionnaires distributed to educators and high school students, in addition to the analysis of the political pedagogical project and the course plans of all school disciplines and the laws that ensure the development of environmental education in Brazil.
