RESUMO:

worldwide public health problems have always existed throughout history. In 2019, a serious illness called Covid-19 emerged in Wuhan, in the province of Hubei, China. Due to the exponential increase in infections during the year 2020, non-pharmacological measures of indivudal scope were implemented bu gonvernment agencies. In Brazil, the main preventive actions adopted were frequent hand hygiene, the use of masks, distance and social isolation. An important change caused by preventive actions referred to the closing of schools and the adoption, in private institutions, of remote education. Studentes, teachers and other professionals in the educationa field at these institutions had their routines modified. The children stopped going to school and started taking classes remotely. It is noteworthy that, according to the scientific literature produced, school is one of the domains that contributes to the maintenance of children's subjective well-being. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the subjective well-being and stress of children aged 8 to 12 years in remote education during the Covid-19 pandemic in Santarém, Pará, Brazil. The research will include a sample of 382 children aged 8 to 12 years, living in the municipality of Santarém, Para, students from the private school system. the instruments for data collectioin will be used: sociodemographic data questionnaire; child stress scale, the multidimensional life satisfaction scale for children, gloval child life satisfaction scale, all via Google Forms. The data form the questionnaires and scales will be analyzed using descriptive statistics. The qualitative data of the free answer questions will be analyzed using the Iramuteq software, which performs quantitative analysis of qualitative data. It is expected that the data found can be useful in creating more effective strategies to prom ote the health and well-being of children in remote educacion and in social isolation.
