RESUMO:

Erosion is one of the main threats to food, water and energy security, through the changes it causes in the hydrological cycle. In rural areas, it has caused concern due to losses of soil, water, nutrients due to runoff in areas with negative changes in land use, causing ravines, furrows and gullies, silting up bodies of water. In this sense, the general objective in this work will be to analyze studies related to the control of rainwater erosion and to map areas of vulnerability to soil loss in the municipality of Rurópolis, Pará. The research was divided into two chapters that will be written in article format. The first aimed to quantitatively identify methods for preventing and controlling rainwater erosion on agricultural land in Brazil. A quantitative approach was carried out, using scientometric analysis based on articles published in journals indexed in the Web Of Science database between 1945 and 2020. The indexers were: rainfall erosivity, soil use and conservation and no-till. For each of these keywords, a spreadsheet was organized containing: the number of publications, state in which the work was carried out, year of publication, regions with the largest number of publications, the journal with the highest number of dissemination of research results in the territory Brazilian. The results were diversified for the terms searched, and the oldest search in the database was in 1981 in the topic no-till. For soil use and conservation, data were obtained beginning in 1991 and erosivity was found from 1993 onwards. When we applied the regional clipping, the regions that presented the most publications were Southeast and South, with greater dissemination of scientific data in the Revista Brazilian Soil Science and Brazilian Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering. It was noted the regional concentration of research with less focus to the North on the themes of erosivity and no-till. The second chapter, (in preparation) will be composed of the analysis of the vulnerability to soil loss in order to identify areas vulnerable to soil loss and to estimate the erosive potential of the rains for the municipality of Rurópolis, Pará. In the analysis of the vulnerability to soil loss , an empirical equation will be used, where the attributes that make up the studied area receive a final value, resulting from the average of the values of each component of the environment that represents the situation of the territorial unit within a range of values (high stability, intermediate and instability ), which express the degree of vulnerability to soil loss as a function of the observed physical conditions. For the mapping of soil loss, free geotechnologies will be used, especially the Geographic Information System through the QGIS program (free), its algorithms and complements. To estimate the erosive potential, the monthly and annual rainfall values of a homogeneous historical series will be used, considering the erosivity index (EI30) as a reference for analysis. The collection of points of occurrence of rain erosion will be carried out, obtaining photographic records and annotations of the environmental conditions of the erosive processes identified. This research is expected to contribute to the survey of spatial information to identify the degree of vulnerability of soils to water erosion, making it possible to subsidize the planning of land use by the government and society for conservation actions in areas with greater erosive potential.
