BIG AREA: Outra
AREA: Multidisciplinar
SUMMARY:

Teacher training as an action of educational development is important to be focused on the integral training of the subject, adding aspects of social, economic and environmental learning. From this perspective, it is understood that Practice as a Curriculum Component (PCC) emerges as a tool for contributing to teacher education, which can create opportunities for raising awareness about education for sustainability. Thus, the objective of this study is to understand the applicability of Practice as a Curriculum Component from the perspective of education for sustainability in the initial training of Physical Education teachers in a public university in the interior of the Amazon region of Pará. And, specifically: a) identify how the practice is put into practice as a curricular component in the Physical Education course of the university participating in the research; b) analyze the intentionality of PCC in the process of training the Physical Education teacher from the perspective of education for sustainability; c) verify the applicability of education for sustainability in the disciplines of the Physical Education course. This proposal arose from the need to obtain answers regarding the structuring and functioning of the PCC in the degree courses in Physical Education and to realize which attention is directed towards the commitment to Environmental Education. In the theoretical framework, we seek to contextualize the training of Physical Education teachers, teaching practice and their role in the training process with socio-environmental responsibility. It is a qualitative, descriptive-exploratory research, of the case study type, whose locus is found in the degree course in Physical Education at the University of the State of Pará – campus Santarém. The study will be bibliographic, documental and empirical. The bibliographic study was carried out using the Qualitative Evidence Synthesis protocol - SEQ (SOUSA; SOARES, 2019) with the CAPES Portal (2009-2019). As for the document analysis, it will be done with the documents related to the course object of study and the empirical research will take place with coordinators, professors and students of that course. The data will be produced through online interviews, via meet videoconference, with coordinators and teachers, in addition to the application of a survey questionnaire with undergraduate students in Physical Education, in order to meet social distancing and the demands of the current moment of the covid 19 pandemic. The analysis procedure adopted is the Collective Subject Discourse (DSC) method (LEFÈVRE; LEFÈVRE, 2012). Initially, it is considered that the reflections of this study may bring benefits to the training of the future Physical Education teacher with future generations. As a partial conclusion of the literature review, it was found that the actions developed with the PCC theme in Physical Education courses at Brazilian universities need reformulation in order to structure their internal policies, especially the Pedagogical Curriculum Project (PPC), making explicit their positions regarding the application of Practice as a Curriculum Component in Licentiate Degree courses in Physical Education, committed to planetary sustainability.
