SUMMARY:

The issues and debates with the theme of the environment are intensified every day in society, as it is something that involves the need for survival in order to maintain the balance between human beings and nature. In this way, it is perceived that the environmental issue encompasses society as a whole, as it must be discussed further, encouraging reflections in all sectors of the population, whether in the economic, social, educational or environmental sectors. In the field of initial and continuing education, teachers need space for discussions between disciplines, emphasizing the need, as advocated by environmental education, for articulation between them so that they can become an effective and necessary process in the search for an environment healthy, with quality of life for all. In this sense, the title of the research being developed at PPGSAQ/UFOPA is: Environmental Education and Teacher Training: the Case of Degree Courses at Public Universities in the State of Amazonas, Brazil, whose main objective is to analyze the scientific advances produced in literature that deals with teacher training from the perspective of environmental education in the State of Amazonas, since this education is a requirement of Article 11 of Law 9795/99, which deals with the National Policy on Environmental Education in Brazil. The approach is based on the quantitative/qualitative, through scientometrics, with data collected on the Scientific Electronic Library Online Platforms - Scielo and CAPES, through Boolean operators.
