Functional profile and quality of life of teachers in the municipality of Santarém (Pará) who were affected by COVID-19
COVID-19. Quality of life. Teachers.
The COVID-19 pandemic caused losses and changes in the scenario of current Brazilian society. After falling ill with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, a large number of people had sequelae and complaints about performing certain tasks, previously considered routine. The objective of the research is to investigate the sequelae after illness due to COVID-19 in university professors and in the municipal teaching network of the city of Santarém (Pará State), Brazil. Through this survey, it will be possible to measure the real impact of the disease on the quality of life of the selected professors and whether they started to present difficulties in fulfilling their professional task. The importance of the project stems from the assumption that education should be valued and teachers need support, physical and emotional conditions so that they can act on this mission. This is a descriptive and exploratory research, with a quantitative and cross-sectional character. Four questionnaires will be applied: EQ-5D-5L, World Health Organization Quality of Life Group (WHOQOL-BREF), WHODAS 2.0 and Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS-21). The target audience of the research will be 200 teachers from the teaching network of the municipality of Santarém/PA, including a university and two primary and secondary schools. It is expected, through the research, to know the quality-of-life profile of teachers affected by COVID-19 and to identify cases of long-term COVID in the studied group.
