THE INTERACTION OF BABIES WITH THE TAPAJÓS RIVER: CONTRIBUTIONS OF CONTACT WITH NATURE TO NEUROPSYCHOMOTOR DEVELOPMENT

A child's development not only depends on the maturation of the central nervous system, but also on other factors: biological, relational, affective, symbolic, contextual and environmental. In this context, neuropsychomotor development can be enhanced through contact with nature, which is characterized as any human interaction with a biophysical environment, a system that includes flora, fauna and geological forms. This research is interested in understanding the interaction of babies with nature through the Tapajós River. Furthermore, we seek to outline the sociodemographic profile of the family; identify the phase of neuropsychomotor development of babies; describe the interaction of babies in contact with nature and investigate the perceptions of parents or caregivers about contact with nature in the occupation of Vista Alegre do Juá. Babies and caregivers aged 0 to 3 and parents and caregivers over 18 years of age who live in the occupation will participate in the research, with convenience sampling. The investigation of this study is characterized by a multi-method approach, using descriptive numerical analysis, inferential analysis and semantic text analysis. As for the instruments for data collection, they are: semi-structured sociodemographic interview form, Denver II test, semi-structured interview for the perception of parents or caregivers about the contribution of contact with nature to child development and observation method, using event recording. The research stages include the presentation of the project and health action, with lectures, banners on child development; semi-structured interview about the sociodemographic aspects of the family; assessment of neuropsychomotor development and recorded interview about parents' or caregivers' perception of contact with nature and child development. It is worth mentioning, for the general results, we hope to understand the interaction of babies in contact with nature, as well as reflect on the importance of this contact from the early years of life.
