SOCIAL TECHNOLOGIES: SANITATION, HEALTH AND QUALITY OF LIFE IN AN AGROEXTRATIVISM RIVERINE COMMUNITY
Quality of life; sustainability; public health; riverside population.
INTRODUCTION: Access to water is a right provided for by law, as well as access to basic sanitation, which provides people with dignity and quality of life. In the Amazon estuary there are municipalities with geographical characteristics that make it impossible to implement a traditional water supply and treatment methodology, making it necessary for local organizations to use social technologies to provide such access, such as the islands in the region of the mouth of Rio Amazon. OBJECTIVE: To analyze how social and sanitary technologies are developed in the treatment of water and sewage in the agroextractive communities of Ilha das Cinzas- Gurupá-PA and their social, environmental and health impact on the lives of riverside residents. METHOD: For the methodology, mixed research with a descriptive approach is recommended, as instruments: documentary research, socioeconomic questionnaire, WHOQOL-bref, parasitological analysis of feces and analysis of water quality parameters. EXPECTED RESULTS: It is expected to prove that the use of social health technologies can improve the quality of life through the absence of water-borne diseases through the existence of sanitary sewage and water treatment.
