SUMMARY:

Considering that Universities are based on teaching, research, and extension pillars, it is imperative to use methods to assess their technical-scientific production. Through scientometrics, the technical-scientific contribution in certain areas is measured, identifying institutional potentials and opportunities. With the Federal University of Western Pará (UFOPA) case study, the following problems were observed in the management of their research: difficulty in collecting and organizing the institution's research data, integration with institutional systems, advertising, and transparency of productions technical-scientific. Such facts impact on better research management concerning resource allocation, for example. Aiming to solve the above problems, this work proposes the development of a software artifact for the management and publication of data related to the technical-scientific production of researchers linked to UFOPA. The artifact enables greater transparency, social inclusion of the university, and data-oriented decision-making capacity, assisting in the research and innovation management and evaluating technoscientific policies. The present work is being conducted according to the Design Science Research method, including the development of modules for automated data collection and analysis from the Lattes Platform, as well as visualization of Scientometric Indicators of technoscientific production. It is expected that the product will enable greater efficiency in public resources management, fostering inter and intra-institutional partnerships and increasing the research impact. The system is scalable and can be adopted by other Science and Technology Institutions.
