Traceability of Technologies for Forest Inventory: a prospective study of patents and registration of protection.
traceability; Forest Inventory; technologies; forest management.
The traceability of data on the development of technologies for forestry purposes provides information on the level of technological development and investments in a given area. This research aimed to track, through a prospective study, all available technologies for applying forest inventories. The research involved 4 phases: i) pre-prospective, with an exploratory study and survey of the theoretical framework; ii) technological prospecting, with the search for technologies in bibliometric study (20 articles) and patentometrics, searches were carried out in databases: INPI, Questel Orbit, and Google Patents. In the database generated by Orbit of the 149 results obtained, only 75 patent registrations were active in the last 38 years. And only two computer program registrations were identified at INPI, and are protected under the Copyright Law. This work could serve as a guiding instrument in defining technology management strategies for application in Forest Inventories.
