SUMMARY:

This doctoral thesis, in qualification, deals with the study of the curriculum of the pedagogy course at Ufopa from its Pedagogical Residence (RP), with a view to Education for Sustainability (EpS), based on bibliographic references, documents and perceptions of /the subjects of PR. The study has the general objective of analyzing EpS in the curriculum of the initial training of the degree course in Pedagogy at the Federal University of Western Pará, from its Pedagogical Residence (RP), with a view to promoting quality education in and for the Amazon. The specific objectives are: i) to identify the concept of “education for sustainability” in scientific literature and official documents; ii) to analyze the conceptions about EpS in the formative curriculum of the subjects of the Pedagogical Residency in the Pedagogy course at Ufopa; iii) verify how EpS has been developed in the Pedagogical Residency subproject in the Pedagogy course at Ufopa; iv) verify the possible intersections between EpS and the constitution of the curriculum of initial formation of pedagogues/as in Ufopa; v) analyze the contributions of RP to EpS in the training curriculum of Ufopa educators. This is a qualitative research, with a historical-dialectical approach, integrated by bibliographical, documental and empirical study. Semi-structured questionnaires will be applied to 45 students of the course, who are residents; 09 preceptors, who are basic education teachers; and 04 faculty advisors from RP/Pedagogy/Ufopa, professors from the Pedagogy Course. An interview will be held with the institutional coordination of the aforementioned Course and the UFOPA PR Program. A Reflective Training Group (GFR) will be set up in one of the 09 Nuclei of RP/Pedagogy/Ufopa, with the participation of the researcher, characterizing, at this stage, an ethnographic case study. Data will be treated based on content analysis and data triangulation, considering 03 analytical axes: Axis A - Conception of EpS; Axis B - Curriculum and EpS in the training of Ufopa educators; Axis C - Pedagogical praxis of the EpS in the Pedagogical Residency of the Ufopa Pedagogy Course (2022 to 2024). Among the expected results, it is intended to contribute to the identification of conditions, dimensions and factors that are fundamental to understanding the training of pedagogues for EpS in and for the Amazon.
