The formation of the librarian for school education manifested in the undergraduate PPCs in Librarianship

The present research in progress intends to identify the librarian's training propositions for school education. This is an empirical-documentary investigation whose object of analysis is the Pedagogical Course Projects (PPC) of Brazilian librarianship faculties. From the study, it is intended to identify the formative path of librarianship students for the professional performance in the school library and to what extent the educational field is linked to the egress profile, considering the structure and curriculum content; teaching, research and extension strategies and availability of infrastructure for the execution and functioning of the course. Regarding the conceptual dimension, the research articulates three guiding topics: school education; school library; and librarian at school, in order to determine the librarian's participation in the face of pedagogical demands and how education and library are admitted to school.
